Eric Otter Bacon

One of the newest additions to my basket collection. A beautiful acorn basket from Wabanaki (Passamaquoddy) artist Eric Otter Bacon.

2.75" dia. x 2.25" tall w/o handle
The basket is woven of finely prepared black ash, sweet grass and birch bark with a "stem" carved of moose antler.

    On Eric's larger acorn baskets he has enough room that he will do carvings on the birch bark discs. I would love to have one of those, they are really stunning.

      That basket is on the shelf above yours and Eric's bed in the guest room. It is so cute (kind of makes the basket sound trivial, but it is cute) and one of my favorites. It was a nice addition to my collection. Just got to get one from your Eric one of these days.
